This 20" inch wound Tesla coil secondary is wound with 26awg enamel coated wire 1160 turns on a 3.5"inch diameter pvc pipe. This coil was tediously wound with a single wire without a single crossed winding or scratch. It was then sprayed with a light layer of enamel. Many hobbyists find that 26 gauge wire works great for spark gap Tesla coils. It has a very low resistance. The bottom of the secondary will have 1.5" of bare PVC pipe for mounting reasons. It can be mounted via screws to some form of fixture or you could use a pvc flange.
